This is the site of the Old Potter's Mill, which ran from 1924 to 1966. This was a family owned business, with 6 brothers running the operation, from logging to millwork. Known for sawing pine lumber, the brothers supplied most of the boards, beams and posts for homes and barns in the Big Valley area and beyond. As well as supplying lumber for World War II supply needs. A lot of wonderful history is on this property. 2 old rail boxes are still standing. There are 2 wells, not in use, but historically supplied ample water for the millwork and home use. The mill shop is a great old building, and the barn is a treasure on it's own.
